Metcom’s Grinding School Delivers
Metcom recently held its first ever Grinding School in Hibbing, Minnesota. The intensive, five-day program provided participants with all the tools for measuring and improving their plant grinding performance. Sessions were presented by Metcom’s Robert McIvor and Kyle Bartholomew. The training covered all the steps for implementing the Metcom Management System for plant grinding operations. The course was very well received by participants, who were awarded 6.0 CEUs by The Engineering Institute of Canada upon completion. When asked their biggest take-away from the course, one participant responded "I now understand how the grinding circuit can readily be evaluated using the Functional Performance Equation, which is a function of not only the Mill Grinding Efficiency, but also the Classification System Efficiency, as measured by the percentage of coarse solids in the mill."
Plans are being made to repeat this highly successful event in other regions. Click-here to inquire about organizing a Metcom Grinding School in your area.
