Streamline™ is the breakthrough ball mill modeling application that uses Functional Performance Analysis to carry out circuit performance improvements.
The application uses plant survey data to construct a ball mill size reduction model represented by real-world cumulative grinding rates through all size classes. Cyclone separation performance is characterized using size-by-size recoveries to underflow. This easy-to-construct, two-unit circuit model perfectly replicates the circuit survey size distributions and mass flows.
Pump and cyclone performances can then be adjusted using the provided step-by-step procedure to maximize Classification System Efficiency (CSE), the optimization metric.
Streamline™ is easy to understand and use, it is fully supported by tutorial videos, live technical support, and related training modules from the Metcom Grinding Process Management System.
Streamline™ is unlike any other circuit modeling system. Essentially, it is a “CSE optimization tool”. Projected CSE gains are modeled using various trial scenarios and applied as reduced ball mill power, increased circuit throughput, or finer product size. A foundational understanding of Functional Performance, Classification System Efficiency, and the methodologies to manipulate pump and hydro cyclone performance is needed to make effective use of Streamline.
These skills and knowledge are provided in Metcom’s Classification System Efficiency (CSE) Training Program
It is strongly recommended that you have completed this program prior to using Streamline. The program includes the following training modules:
- Module 5 – Functional Performance of Ball Milling
- Module 7 – Hydrocyclone Performance
- Module 8 – Hydrocyclone Adjustments
- Module 9 – Slurry Pumping
- Module 18 – Evaluation of Circuit Classification
The estimated completion time for the entire program is approximately 16 hours.
Streamline™ is a Microsoft Windows computer application and requires that the user has Microsoft Excel installed.
System Requirements:
- Windows 10 or higher
- Excel 2010 or higher
- Admin privileges may be required for program installation
